After watching the videos, I only realise that New Village was formerly a “mass detention camps”.
I am also born in a small village with only 300 households. There are no post office and police station in my village. However, you are able to find 3 Chinese temples and 1 church in my village (previously there were 2 churches). Again this has proved that one of the instinct of man are “god seeking”, man kind are born with the instinct to wordship a super natural power (god) who is “above” them. For example, no one teaches indigenous people that there is a god but they still wordship stone, fire, sun or even river.
Youth are rarely seen in my village. The majority resident now are elders and children.
The villagers living in a slow pace life style. They are contented with what they have.
Low criminal rate. Friendly environment. Low cost of living. Stress free. Cooling at night. Slow pace.
It is definitely one of the best place for retirement.
