eLawyer is coming to town!

The FIRST of its kind law portal,, is going to make a spark to the law industry in Malaysia soon.

After months of effort, finally my “pet”, eLawyer, is on-live now and has received overwhelming response in term of job listing and visitors for the past 2 weeks. I need to thank all my fellow colleagues, who are the great contributors behind the scene, especially Mr Larry Lam and Mr Lee Yuen Lee.

So, what is so great about eLawyer? The presence of eLawyer has marked the 5 FIRST in the history of legal industry in Malaysia:

1. The FIRST website in Malaysia has the BEST function in displaying law job;

There are many online recruitment sites in Malaysia and you can find law jobs in several sites too, however, non of these sites are specialised in legal recruitment, although strictly speaking elawyer is not a recruitment website (it is rather a one stop law portalfor Malaysian lawyers), but the method of displaying the law jobs and functionalities are just so user friendly and highly competitive to any recruitment site. It allows jobseekers to submit resumes too.

2. The FIRST online law book advertising system in Malaysia;

eLawyer is not a law books trader nor involves in the sale and purchase transaction of law books. eLawyer is merely an advertising portal for user to post law books for sell and to post a wanted ad, to let the world know what law books or journals they are looking for.

3. The FIRST website gives free online legal aid to public in Malaysia;

One of the missions in eLawyer is to educate and to create awareness amongst the public about their rights under the laws (same as this blog). Therefore, members of eLawyer can post any legal questions to us and we will get our panel lawyers to answear you. The lawyers share our abovementioned mission and are doing it as a service to the society. So, next time you shouldn’t’t say all lawyers are money minded. (although, some are…hahaha!)

4. The FIRST online legal fees calculator;

I still remember vividly when I first presented this feature to a female conveyancing lawyer, her spontaneous comment was “Brilliant!”. Yes, now you will know how much lawyer is going to charge you for sale and purchase of a property. Credit goes to Larry for his ingenious invention.

5. The FIRST online law shops in Malaysia.

It is a one stop place for lawyers to do “shopping” for their office equipment and services.

The BEST part of all these is that you can now enjoy these features for FREE. Yes, absolutely free during this free trial period.

So please visit now and let me know your valued feedback.

The main thing is please tell your friends about eLawyer who you think may need the services mentioned above, since it is FREE mah!

Tingtitlei – I am not sure what kind of essay you are writing but the following principle in answering a law question may help:

1. Spot the issues in the questions

2. State the relevant laws & cases

3. Apply the laws & cases to the issues

4. Conclusion – always good to express your stand on the issues
