KL Bar Blog

May 13th, 2008 · 2 Comments

KL Bar Committee has launched its 1st blog on 6 May 2008. The blog is now still under Beta version and no comments posting are allowed during the coming 3 months.

As correctly pointed out by the KL Bar Committee Chairman, Mr R. Ravindar Kumar, lawyers are usually too busy with theirs practice, hence have not much of luxury time to voice their views concerning the Bar or partake significantly in the Bar activities. However, the good thing about blogging is that it is an interactive tool for its readers. It serves as a convenient platform for the members of KL Bar to interact among themselve.

Since the interactive feature is the main reason of KL Bar setting up a blog, why don’t they open the comments feature during the trial period? so that they can really know if blogging can help to acheive their ultimate purpose.

At this moment only posting articles or announcement are allowed in the blog which I think can be done in their existing website, anyway.

Please visit http://klbar.blogspot.com/

I need to congratulate and praise KL Bar Committee for taking KL lawyers to the new world of blogosphere.

Welcome lawyer bloggers or the more accurate terminology is “blawggers!

Is Malaysian Bar also to setting up its blog soon?

P/S: Since Blogspot.com provides free hosting, hence, Blogspot remains the discretion to close the site down at anytime. In fact, as a fellow blogger I am happy to provide free hosting space to KL Bar, if they needed. I guess this is the least that I can do for the Bar as a former member

Thank you for your kind comments Eddie. As one of the administrators of the blog, I really appreciate your feedback.

On a personal note, I too would like to open up the comments feature, with some level of moderation and with the necessary disclaimers as well.

Stay tuned for more developments on the KL Bar Blog.
