Make Money Without Updating Your Blog/Website

August 8th, 2008 · No Comments

The most exicted and happiest moment for some bloggers is to see cheques mailling in either from Google or other advertisers. On another hand, the most “headace” part for some bloggers is to figure out a new topic to blog every time, in order to attract traffic.

Through my personal observations, I have concluded that there are 3 ways (may be more than that) which will make you receiving cheques and yet without scratching your head as to think how to gain more traffic.

Yes, below are 3 ideas which shows you how your blog can be updated “automatically” and you will gain tremendous traffic every day:

1. Developing widgets - you may find more and more free widgets online. e.g. sitemeter.com and clocklink.com. You may wonder how the webmaster survives by providing these freebies in the internet. In fact, as long as you are able to develop a useful and creative widget, bloggers would love to place your widgets on their blogs, as a result, it not only helps you to push up your PR ranking but also give you free advertisement. When your traffic is high you can start thinking of selling some ad space.

Success example: www.sitemeter.com

2. Visitors update – this is another model of website, where you let your visitors post the contents that can be beneficial to them at your website. The free online advertising is a calssical example. In which, by allowing the sellers to post their advertisement would help them in their sale, at the same time, the potential buyer will keep coming back to your site to look for the things that they want to buy.

Success example: www.asiaparttime.com

3. RSS Feed – this is where you use the advantage of the RSS Feed feature to pull the relevant news or contents and update your website contents automatically everyday. Alternatively, you may invite your visitors to submit their url or articles to you so that you can pull and display part of their post at your website whenever they update their blogs.

Success example: www.petalingstreet.org

If you know any other manner which can achieve the same result, please do share with us.
