The websites of 5 largest Malaysian law firms – Zaid Ibrahim & Co (1/5)

November 9th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Do you know who is Kapar Singh? I am sure you know, the most popular lawyer in Malaysia. However, do you know which is the largest lawyer firms in Malaysia? and how many lawyers are working with the law firm? Does the law firm has a website?

Out of personal interest, I did a brief comparison of the websites of the 5 largest law firms in Malaysia. I will use 5 posts to present this.

1. Firm Name:  Zaid Ibrahim & Co (Zico)

Year of establishment: 1987.

No. of Lawyers: over 130 lawyers.

Zico uses grey as the main colour for its site. Grey is considerably a “safe” colour, which portraits a sense of classic yet modern feel. On another hand, this site has its personality whereby you will see an “energetic & friendly” picture of the founder right at the Home page and also some lawyers picture flashing in the site banner. All these add to the sense of “friendliness” to the readers.

Registered readers can subscribe to many useful materials in this site, e.g. legal practice and update and some legal paper in various topics.

The webmaster hides the email addresses from the site to prevent spam mail. I personally feel that it would be good if there is an enquiries form for readers to fill in when they want to contact the firm as currently its Email Us is designed to be linked to one’s outlook software. What happen if one’s computer doesn’t has an outlook software? Someone told me that “A common issue with Microsoft Internet Explorer is controlling the e-mail program used when you click on a mail address on a web page. If it’s not set correctly, you may get a “Can’t create object” error message.”

Hi En Abdul Omar – I am not working for Zaid Ibrahim. You may login to their website and contact them directly. However, I do know some lawyers in the firm. Should you need me to refer you to the relevant lawyer, please send me an email stating your background, contact detail and subject matter of the discussion.
